Wanee holds true to this virtue of friendship and love by recognizing the loss of Butch Trucks with a special night of dedication on April 19th called “Happy Hour.” Butch Trucks was long time member of the Allman Brothers Band (1969 – 2014) and Les Brers (2015 – 2017) and played at the festival many times. Butch Trucks was scheduled to perform at this years Wanee before his untimely death this year.

The Marcus King Band, will grace the stages of Wanee. This up and coming band is one you not want to miss. The Marcus King Band is a breath of fresh air to southern rock and soul. King’s guitar riffs and lyrics are timeless bliss.

There are several tributes happening during Wanee, you can catch, Pink Talking Fish and Kung Fu teaming up to pay tribute to David Bowie and Prince. Brothers & Sisters will give you a delicious bite of Grateful Dead. To add a cherry on top Leftover Salmon will play tribute to the music of Neil Young.

Why spread panic may be the question, but Widespread Panic heading to Wanee Music Festival is the answer! The Georgia boys, return headliners, are scheduled to take the stage at this years festival. Known for removing the weight of the world and giving the sense that life is grand.

Trey Anastasio Band brings the big red heat with a big band and horns. The fun on stage spills over to the crowd, Trey’s smile is infectious.

Gov’t Mule is at the forefront of that coming of age tale. Warren Haynes has the style and grace of a seasoned southern rocker and with the band in his pocket, Gov’t Mule only comes to take names and rock your socks off.
